What translation review involves

To be clear, I am not a translator. I am a communicator in English at the highest level, who will review translations for accuracy, naturalness, register, and precision. Even a professional native speaker, teacher, or translator often struggles to communicate in the register of attorneys, scientists and other advanced professionals. AI and machine translation can lead to miscommunications, grammatically correct but phonetically awkward constructions, embarrassing double-entendres, and misunderstandings of legal or technical terms with no direct equivalent in one language or the other.
